What We Believe About the Gospel

Our beliefs are grounded in Scripture and centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Clear, biblical beliefs shape how we follow Jesus and share the Gospel with others.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and the final authority for what we believe and how we live.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, and the only Savior and Lord of the world. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him.

Humanity and Sin

We believe all people are created by God but are separated from Him by sin. Humanity cannot save itself through religion, good works, or self-righteousness and stands in need of spiritual rescue.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is given to every believer, convicting of sin, opening hearts to Christ, and empowering believers for holy living and witness. Without the work of the Holy Spirit, the Gospel cannot bear fruit.

Eternal Destiny

We believe every person will face God’s judgment. Heaven is the eternal home of those who are saved by Jesus Christ, and hell is the final, eternal separation from God for those who reject Christ.

The Church

We believe all who trust in Jesus Christ become part of the body of Christ. Believers are called to worship, grow in the Word, live in obedience, and walk in loving fellowship.

Christ’s Presence and Power

We believe Christ is with His people always as they go into the world in His Name. We rely not on human strength but on His authority and the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish His mission.

The Gospel

We believe the Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures. This message of salvation and forgiveness is grounded solely in the Name of Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Savior.

The Mission

We believe Jesus Christ has commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations. This includes proclaiming the forgiveness of sins in His Name, calling people to repentance and faith, baptizing believers, and teaching them to obey all that Christ commanded.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Christ bore our sins on the cross and rose again so that sinners may be forgiven, justified, and reconciled to God. There is no other name by which anyone can be saved. Saving faith includes repentance, a turning from sin and a turning to Christ in trust and submission.

God's Love

We believe God is a God of love. God loves every person personally and deeply, and His love is greater than any human love. God knows each individual completely, cares about every detail of their lives, and desires a relationship with them. God’s love is the reason He created humanity and the reason He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save sinners. Though God is holy and just and will judge the world, His judgment is never separated from His love. No matter a person’s past, God offers forgiveness, transformation, and new life through faith in Jesus Christ.

What We Believe
