Stories like these offer a glimpse into the work God is doing every day through 1M. As our initiatives continue to take shape, these moments reflect the direction and heart behind Everyday Gospel, Gospel on the Go, and our partnerships with local churches. The stories shared here are representative of the kind of Gospel engagement we seek to cultivate.
For many believers, sharing their faith in everyday life can feel intimidating. They can find themselves unsure what to say when conversations aren’t planned or scripted.
However, these are also important opportunities for some of the most meaningful Gospel conversations to arise. In a moment like this, one of the believers we’ve worked with sensed an opportunity to engage a deeper conversation, rather than letting the moment pass him by.
There was no event, program or expectation of a particular outcome – just a simple decision to listen well, speak clearly, and trust God. The Gospel was shared relationally and honestly in everyday life, rather than a special setting.
What stood out was not the scale of the moment, but the depth of his faithfulness. His confidence came not from having all the answers, but from the clarity he had about the message of Jesus and his willingness to step forward in obedience. Moments like this reflect the heart of Everyday Gospel.
They remind us that everyday life is often where faith is most naturally lived out and shared, as believers are equipped to recognize and respond to opportunities God puts right in front of them.
While public spaces can often feel busy and impersonal, they can also become spaces for meaningful connection when prayerful presence is offered with humility and care.
At a local community event, volunteers made themselves available to listen and pray with anyone who stopped by. Some came carrying visible burdens. Others were simply curious. Conversations unfolded naturally, creating space for prayer, encouragement, and Gospel-centered dialogue in a space where people wouldn’t normally expect it. There was no pressure or agenda beyond just being present.
By meeting people where they already were, volunteers were able to offer hope and spiritual support in a way that felt accessible and respectful. For many, it was a reminder that God sees them and meets them wherever they are, even in everyday public places.
These moments reflect the heart of Gospel on the Go: to be an intentional presence in public spaces and create opportunities for prayer and Gospel conversations without barriers or expectations.
Many believers want to share their faith, but feel unsure where to start or how to express the Gospel clearly. Confidence often grows through thoughtful preparation and practice in a supportive setting.
In a recent training, believers gathered to focus on understanding the Gospel more clearly and learning how to naturally share it with others in everyday conversations. Rather than emphasizing performance or outcomes, we created space for learning, discussion, and practice together. Participants reflected on real-life situations they have encountered at work, with family, and in their communities. They considered how faith might be expressed naturally in those moments.
As the training unfolded, many shared that they felt encouraged and more equipped to share the Gospel. They came to realize that it’s not about having all the answers, but on being rooted in the message of Jesus and prepared to speak with clarity, humility, and love.
Moments like this reflect the heart of Everyday Gospel. By equipping believers with confidence and understanding, the Gospel is shared, not through programs or churches alone, but through many believers’ faithful presence in everyday life.
Healthy Gospel work is most fruitful when it strengthens, rather than burdens, the local
church. Partnerships approached with humility and care create space for shared mission, without adding unnecessary weight on church leadership.
In one of our recent partnerships, we worked alongside a local church to support a community service and outreach effort. Aligned with the church’s heart for community, our volunteers not only served in practical ways, but also engaged in relationship with community and congregation members, all while staying attentive to church leadership throughout the experience.
Our focus was not on visibility or control, but collaboration. By coming prepared and thoughtfully handling coordination, the church was able to remain focused on its people and its mission. Trust grew through presence, listening, and a shared commitment to serving others in Jesus’ name.
This kind of partnership reflects the heart of 1M – coming alongside the local church to serve and collaborate, offering support that strengthens and adds value to their mission, while honoring the churches role as the spiritual home of its community.
Every believer has a role in sharing the message of the Gospel. We hope these stories are an encouragement to you to as you step into Gospel work in your own life and community. Connect with us to learn how we can partner in equipping believers and supporting the local church.
